Spatiotemporal Modelling of Water Balance Components in Response to Climate and Landuse Changes in a Heterogeneous Mountainous Catchment

چکیده
Landuse change and climate are the main drivers of hydrological processes. The purpose this study was to analyse separate combined future effects landuse changes on water balance components different spatial temporal scales using integrated Soil Water Assessment Tool model. focused relationship between yield (WYLD) sediment (SYLD) in heterogeneous Taleghan Catchment Iran. For scenarios, RCP 4.5 8.5 GFDL-ESM2M GCM were used for 2020–2040. A Markov chain model predict catchment. results indicated an increase precipitation evapotranspiration. findings also showed that WYLD SYLD is direct synergic. Climate has a stronger effect than change, whereas SYLD. conversion rangelands barren land most critical could highest scenario RCP4.5 resulted from change. We estimated about 295 mm around 17 t/ha. proposed methodology universal can be applied similar settings identify vulnerable regions. This help prioritize management strategies improve soil watersheds.

Assessing Variation in Water Balance Components in Mountainous Inland River Basin Experiencing Climate Change
Quantification of the changes of water balance components is significant for water resource assessment and management. This paper employed the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model to estimate the water balance in a mountainous watershed in northwest China at different spatial scales over the past half century. The results showed that both Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE) and determination...

It is essential to examine the sensitivity of hydrologic responses to climate and landuse change across different physiographic regions in order to formulate sound water management policies for local response to projected global change. This study used the U.S. Geological Survey's Precipitation Runoff Modeling System (PRMS) model to examine the potential impacts of climate and landuse changes o...
متن کاملWater Resources of the Black Sea Catchment under Future Climate and Landuse Change Projections
As water resources become further stressed due to increasing levels of societal demand, understanding the effect of climate and landuse change on various components of the water cycle is of strategic importance. In this study we used a previously developed hydrologic model of the Black Sea Catchment (BSC) to assess the impact of potential climate and landuse changes on the fresh water availabil...
